Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing**
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sugar.
- 1/2 cup softened butter.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour.
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder.
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- 1 cup of milk.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Coverage:
- 1/2 cup whipping cream.
- 200 g of chocolate to melt. Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Beat the butter and sugar until you get a creamy mixture.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Add the vanilla.
- Pour the mixture into a greased mold and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the topping, heat the cream in a saucepan until it is about to boil. Remove from heat and add the chocolate, mixing until smooth and shiny.
- Once the cake is cool, pour the chocolate icing over the top.
